About Nick 
Rep. Nick Miccarelli was elected to serve the people of the 162nd Legislative District in 2008.

As a state representative, Nick is focusing on reducing taxes and improving Pennsylvania’s business climate in order to bring good paying jobs back to the Commonwealth.

For the 2016-17 term, Nick will serve on the House Human Services, Liquor Control, Consumer Affairs, and Appropriations committees. Nick was also appointed to the Subcommittee on Government and Financial Oversight for the House Appropriations Committee. This new subcommittee is charged with investigating where and how efficiently the state government’s various departments spend money.

Before being elected to House of Representatives, Nick served as chief of staff for former state Rep. Ron Raymond and was a Ridley Park councilman.

Nick has served as an infantryman in the United States Army since October 1999. Currently, he serves as a staff sergeant in the Army National Guard. He has been awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the Army Achievement Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.

In 2009, Nick deployed to Iraq as members of the 28th Combat Aviation Brigade. During his tour of duty he served with B Company 1-150th Assault Helicopter Battalion as a door gunner on a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter. He also was stationed in Ramadi, Iraq, in 2006 and Kosovo in 2003-04 on a peace-keeping mission.

Active in his local community, Nick is a member of the First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry and the Friends of Senator John Heinz Wildlife Refuge in Tinicum Township. He is on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum and has served as vice president of the Ridley Park Borough Council. He also founded the Hurricane Katrina Sister Town Project to help towns left devastated by the natural disaster.

Nick is a graduate of Ridley High School in Folsom. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and is a recipient of the John F. Boyer Scholarship.  

Nick resides in Ridley.
